Cynthia Thomas King was born August 21, 1952 in Lowell, MA., the daughter of the late Helen Kraucunas Thomas and the late Joseph C. Thomas. Cynthia passed away from natural causes on March 31, 2024 at the age of 71.
Cynthia attended St. Stanislaus Primary School, Rogers Jr. High School and Lowell High School. Cynthia married the late Eddie King in 1969 and lived in California, Texas and Massachusetts. She returned to Texas to be near her daughter Karen King and her growing family, and to escape the cold Lowell winters, but never lost her New England accent. She loved the sun and warmer temperatures of Texas and settled in the Garland area with her partner Bruce Rossie. Cynthia built a strong local community spanning many generations and cultures. Cynthia touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
Cynthia's greatest joy was spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and loved engaging with the family daily.
Cynthia is survived by her daughter Karen King, grandchildren David George and Dylan Daun and Dylan's wife Randi and great-grandchildren Zane, Easton and Knox and her long time partner Bruce Rossie. Cynthia also leaves to cherish her memory 2 siblings and 2 sisters-in-law, brother Bruce J. Thomas and sister-in-law Virginia (Ginny) Ruskey Thomas from Lowell MA, Marc M. Thomas and Susan Kirby Thomas from California. Other beloved family members include cousins Ronnie and Maura Morawski Pare from Chelmsford MA., and Jon and Ruth Kraucunas Steiner and Nancy Kraucunas from Seattle Washington, as well as many other cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.
