Obituary:Curtis Isadore Hayes was born on July 29, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to the parents Henry Gordon Hayes and Rose Beryl Corley. He passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at the age of 70. Curt is survived by his wife of forty years Linda Hayes, his children Mark and (Tammy) Hayes, Randy and (Cindy) Hayes, Robert and (Sue) Hayes, Curtis Jr. and (Cheryl) Hayes, his grandchildren Sarah, Kelly, Cody, Toni, Leon, Madison, Lauren, Adriane, Morgan, Tyler and Claire Hayes, his sister Charese Kelly, his brother-in-law Stephen Miller, his mother-in-law Katheryn Miller and nieces and nephews. Curt was a member of the United States Air Force and a Vietnam Veteran. He held many sales positions throughout his life until his last job as an Auctioneer for the last 32 years. He was a true family man. He was one of the most kind and generous people you would ever meet as many who have known him can testify. He had a vast wealth of knowledge and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, even if it meant going without himself. Curt was an incredible man. He was a loving husband, devoted father, special grandfather, respected uncle and a dear friend. He has left a big void in many and will be sorely missed. He has always been conscious of the sacrifices made by returning disabled veterans and supported such charities. In honor of this, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV.Org) in lieu of flowers.

Linda ~ The arms that are holding you now are the arms that will never let you go. I'm praying that God's loving-kindness will comfort you throughout the days in store and keep Curt in His care until you meet once more. Auction Friend #16

I wanted to express my deepest sympathies to you. Something that has provided me with much comfort during these difficult times is the hope that the bible holds out. I have gained much comfort from the scripture in Isaiah 25:8 where it speaks of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah swallowing up death forever. That will surely be a wonderful time when we will no longer experience the pain of losing our loved one in death.

That is so cool and I am seriously joeuals - I am from NYC but living in Australia where they have never even heard of a dixie cup. I can still remember the dispenser in our apartment and using dixie cups when we brushed our teeth. Every time I see someone mention them on the web or use for an activity I get nostalgic. Such a bizarre thing I am sure...
